SCHOLARHIPS

In 2003, Circle Craft Co-Operative initiated a student scholarship award program to support new and upcoming craftspeople. This program is part of Circle Craft’s commitment to community outreach programming, currently working in partnership with three BC institutions; Emily Carr University, Ceramics; Vancouver Community College, Jewellery Program; and Selkirk College, Metal Program.

Graduating students from these programs are invited to complete an application to be considered for the award. A selection committee from each department works in co-operation with Circle Craft to select each year’s recipients. Selection is based on outstanding achievement and an intent to pursue their art form professionally or through furthering their studies. In addition to a scholarship, award winners are given an opportunity to exhibit their work in the annual Student Scholarship Award Show at our Granville Island gallery space. Contact your department head for more information.
