Jessica de Haas is a BC born fibre artist who specializes in felted garments and wearable art. She studied fibre art at the Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC, and now lives in Vancouver.
When not hard at work in her East Vancouver studio, Jessica enjoys being active - playing capoeira, building and riding art bikes, gardening, and playing in the out of doors occupy much of her time.
She also loves to make costumes, and busks in the summer months on Granville Island. She gleans inspiration from the world all around her; the beauty of nature, urban decay, travel, street art, life, love, music and movement.
Her work sells under the design name of Funk Shui.
