After working with Beth Lo int he University of Montana (1989 to 1993), and exploring his lyricism as the Artist in Residence at Contemporary Crafts Gallery in Portland Oregon (1996 to 1997), Junichi  - who was born in Japan, established a working ceramics studio at Whonnock BC in 1998.  Junichi started a wholesale business in 1999 and his metropolitan stoneware has been widely accepted in Canada.
