 “Handwoven Highway”
Bronwyn McGuire Morris
Opening Thursday, February 1st, 2007 6pm - 8pm Circle Craft Gallery - Granville Island Net Loft
Bronwyn McGuire Morris is a recent graduate of the Capilano College textile arts program. She was also the recipient for the 2006 Circle Craft Co-operative scholarship. Bronwyn used her scholarship to purchase a wonderful eight harness loom.
Handwoven Highway is a culmination of her work over the last seven months, exploring the possibilities of eight harness weaving. With the loom she is able to show the world her imagination. Handwoven Highway invites all to learn the stories the threads yearn to tell, feel the embrace of the fabrics. There is much to be learned and reminded of by these centuries’ old techniques.
