Christmas Market Show Preview
This month’s Gallery exhibition brings together the work of 8 new artists who will be part of this year’s Circle Craft Christmas Market under the sails at the Vancouver Exhibition and Convention Centre November 7 through 11, 2007. A selection of objects in a wide range of media, this preview presentation provides an opportunity for a sneak preview before the Christmas Market.
Jacqui Kerr of Refine Jewelery - local artist who specializes in handmade jewelery with a sense of lightness and play.
Douglas Walker - Vancouver Island sculptor whose bird feeders combine his love of gardening with his love of art.
Pooks Toques - is a line of toques and mittens designed by Tony Pook from Ontario.
Vincent Massey - BC ceramicist producing one-of-a-kind spontaneous pots.
Linda Leonard of Zut Designs - features a line of products made from recycled rubber.
Flat Cat Mats artist Dana Smith creates floorcloths, drawing from vintage pop-culture and rooted in a historical perspective.
Molly and Joanna Baxter - West Vancouver sisters who feature Holiday Egg Drops, hand-blown eggs decorated with strips of gorgeous Japanese Chinygami paper.
Sheri Wildhagen and David Greig - a husband and wife design team from Toronto create hats, inspired by vintage sportswear, architecture, fine art and the natural world.
