Jill Allan lives in Vancouver, working out of the studio at New-Small and Sterling Glass on Granville Island. The works she is presenting for show at Circle Craft Co-op Gallery in April are simple abstract forms, both functional and non-functional, based in the craft tradition of vessel making.

While the forms are clean and simple they are based on organic shapes and patterns. Some of the pieces are finished with surface decoration, the patterns and designs applied to them echoing the formal themes of the show.
