I have been involved with art all my life. My mother and grandmother, both artists, encouraged my artistic abilities from a young age. I studied at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University and in 2008 graduated with a major in Ceramics and a minor in Art History. I also studied drawing and painting, and I incorporate both in my work as a ceramicist.
After graduating from NSCAD University, I have lived and practiced in Nanaimo, Vancouver and Halifax. Participating in Local Shows, Farmers Markets and Artwalks. I was also fortunate to win a Scholarship for new participants at One of A Kind Vancouver Show in December 2010.
In 2011 I returned to Halifax and after taking time off for maternity I opened Arundel Studios. In December 2012, with the assistance of the Self Employment Program I delved full time into my practice. In 2013,14 and 15 I was an exhibitor at the Atlantic Craft Trade Show and I now sell my work in over 15 Galleries and Gift Stores. In 2014 and 2015 ACTS awarded with Best New Product. In December 2013 Argyle Fine Art Presented A Solo Show of my sculptural plinths: for the love of cake the animals are behaving strangely and they continue to represent my work in their gallery. I sell my work at over 10 Art Festivals yearly around the Maritimes and I have to exhibited at the American Craft Show in Washington DC in January 2015, adding another 10 Galleries to my wholesale portfolio. this spring I am moving my studio back to Nanaimo.”
