I have been a full time leather worker for 27 years now and at present leaning far more towards doing one off pieces. My experience has given me a technical ability to be able to pursue a great variety of possible images. Colouring techniques, as well as the shaping and modeling of leather, allows an immense range of ideas to be expressed and the ability to experiment is really limitless.
I had the good fortune in my late teens to work as a deck hand on the West Coast and the images imprinted in those days is the basis for my landscape style. I also draw constantly and the geometrics and free form ideas I put on leather are a direct result of the free flow of these ideas.
